Compassionate NDIS Respite Care

We provide SIL services to support people with disabilities around the clock, 7 days a week. FlexiHome Care’s SIL services provide the opportunity for people with disability to live independently, either in group or shared accommodation settings or as a single occupant in their own home, while receiving daily living supports.

SIL services are tailored to individual needs and can include:

• 24/7 daily living supports with trained staff;
• Help managing money and household budgeting;
• Assistance with cooking, cleaning and laundry;
• Provide personal care such as showering and dressing;
• Provide support for grocery shopping and to catch public transport;
• Support household participation and community integration; and
• Support with creating new social networks and for visiting family.

We provide respite services to give carers a much needed break to catch up on their life. We have support workers that can look after your loved one either at your home, in the community, in the disability centre or in one of our accommodation houses. We have developed flexible respite services to give you the opportunity to reduce stress, restore energy and keep your life in balance.

We provide a flexible range of respite services:

In-home Respite – we can provide in-home respite care when they prefer support workers to stay at the comfort of their own home. Based on your needs, if you’ll be going on a holiday or needing to attend an appointment our carers will be there for your loved ones.

Centre-based respite – we have a disability centre that caters to social groups where participants can socialise and join in a range of activities such as arts and crafts, outdoor games, outings to interesting locations and events, bingo, board games and film screenings. Whatever the participants interests and abilities we will cater for them.

Residential Respite Care – we have residential homes that can cater to your loved one’s needs 24/7. If carers needing to take a long break or even a weekend gateway, we have readily available facility for you. This type of respite involves a short-term stay in a disability group home after which participant can return home.

We provide Medium Term Accommodation (MTA) supports to participants who require temporary transitional housing while they wait for their permanent home to become ready to use.

Our MTA can provide accommodation to younger participants who are risked to be admitted on aged care, or those who wish to leave aged care, while they wait for home modifications or identified specialist disability accommodation.

We can also assist participants who are about to leave the hospital but still waiting for disability related home modification and yet to be completed.

We also provide accommodation to those who are found eligible for specialist disability accommodation but waiting for a vacancy or build to be completed.
